All improvements valued at $1,000 or more must have a building permit. Fee for any improvement i.e. adding a garage remodeling of any kind is $65. New residential (single family) building permits are $1300. New duplex, 2-family home building permits are $1950. Apply for a permit at the Village office a as soon as possible before starting construction to allow for permit processing.
